Warranty

What is Your Overall Warranty Policy?

Forum Snowboards warrants all products sold by Forum to be free of defects in material or workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase unless otherwise specified on the product. If a product is found to be defective by Forum, in its sole discretion, Forum's only responsibility shall be limited to repair or replacement of the defective product. Forum will not be responsible for any costs, losses or damages incurred as a result of loss or use of product.

This warranty is subject to the following limitations in addition to any imposed by virtue of applicable law.

The warranty applies only to Forum products purchased from Authorized Forum Snowboard Dealers and is valid for the original purchaser only.
All products returned to Forum for warranty inspection must receive prior return authorization, which can be given over the phone. Ship products freight prepaid and insured. Forum assumes no responsibility for products during shipment from the customer to our Warranty Department. Shipping charges are not refundable.

Excluded from coverage under this warranty are the following:

  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse or neglect.
  • Damage caused by improper mounting or adjustment of the bindings.
  • Damage caused from chairlift breakage.
  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Damage caused by anything other than defects in material or workmanship.
  • Damage caused by use of solvents, adhesives or LOC-TITE®.
  • Damage caused by use on non-Forum hardware for mounting bindings.
  • Damage to Forum products caused by non-Forum products.
  • Any and all claims for consequential or incidental damages.

All coverage under this warranty is void if any modification, change or alteration has been made to the product that is not specifically authorized in writing by Forum.

Repaired or replaced products are covered for the remainder of the original warranty only.

All warranty claims must be accompanied by the original purchase receipt from an Authorized Forum Dealer. Invoice or charge receipt must clearly identify the dealer.

Forum product is not covered by any verbal warranties. ROCK DAMAGE AND ANY OTHER IMPACT RELATED DAMAGE IS NOT COVERED UNDER THIS WARRANTY. ALL WARRANTIES IMPLIED BY STATE LAW, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE HEREBY LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THE WRITTEN WARRANTY. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. WITH THE EXCEPTION OF ANY WARRANTIES IMPLIED BY STATE LAW AS HEREBY LIMITED, THE FOREGOING EXPRESS LIMITED WARRANTY IS EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, GUARANTEES, AGREEMENTS AND SIMILAR OBLIGATIONS OF MANUFACTURER OR SELLER. THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS WHICH VARY FROM STATE TO STATE.

Board Specific Warranty

Covered

  • Structural cracks on fiberglass top sheet, base, core, edge, sidewall and inserts.
  • Lamination failure of top sheet, base, sidewall, edge, tip and tail protectors.
  • Improperly aligned insert pattern.
  • Spinning or stripped inserts. (Note: Inserts that are stripped due to improper mounting are repairable, but are not considered a material flaw.)
  • Core expansion.

Not Covered

  • Any problem resulting from misuse, abuse, impact or neglect.
  • Cosmetic issues including discolored graphics, top sheet dents or chips, edge oxidation.
  • Base dimples in binding insert area.
  • Board damage resulting from improper mounting of bindings, the use of incorrect mounting hardware, or the mounting of non-Forum bindings. Damage caused by any board modifications, including altering or defacing the serial number.

Tips for Shipping Boards

  • Remove bindings from board before returning.
  • Use a box for shipping boards. Plastic wrap will not protect the board in transit.
  • Do not use a "permanent" marker to point out a board's problem.

Binding Specific Warranty

Covered

  • Breakage and/or cracking of any parts, not due to misuse, abuse, neglect, impact, or the use of resins and/or solvents.

Not Covered

  • Breakage caused by any type of binding modification not authorized by Forum.
  • Material breakdown caused by the use of solvents or resins such as LOC-TITE®.
  • Breakage caused by chair lifts.
  • Any damage caused by the use of non-spec hardware.
  • PROPER ADJUSTMENT = PERFORMANCE. Not every binding fits every boot right out of the box. That's why we make everything fully adjustable. Significant damage, not to mention rider frustration, can result if people don't understand how things work on a binding, and what their adjustment options are. The instruction manual is an important piece of understanding how to customize and enhance the performance of the binding. A little knowledge goes a long way.

Boot Specific Warranty

Covered

  • Seam stitching on bladders and shells.
  • Sole lamination.
  • D-ring, speed hook, and eyelet pull-outs.
  • Severe toe bunch in bladders.
  • Velcro closures.

Not Covered

  • Damage caused by boot modifications.
  • Excessive wear at contact points from non-Forum bindings.
  • Damage caused by resting board edge on boot while riding chair lifts.
  • Sole delamination caused by heat exposure (i.e. leaving boots too close to the fire or stove).
  • Cosmetic imperfections in injected bladders.

Habitually supporting the board with the free foot will cause excessive and uneven wear to a rider's boot. Please examine BOTH boots before returning them and inform the customer that a local repair may be more cost-effective.

Softgoods Specific Warranty

Covered

  • Defective sewing.
  • Defective zippers and attachment hardware.
  • Velcro patches and/or snaps.
  • Missing or broken drawstrings, cords and leashes.

Not Covered

  • Rips and Tears.
  • Fading (this includes UV damage).
  • Pilling.
  • Shrinking.
  • Damage (including color bleeding and loss of waterproof qualities) resulting from improper washing or the use of improper detergents.
